Their displayed Quick Menu references help expedite the scanning process and increase both models' flexibility. Whether day-to-day business correspondence, business cards or colour brochures up to A3 in size, the S1500M can scan documents at speeds of up to 20 pages per minute in simplex- or 40 images per minute in duplex-mode (A4 portrait/300 dpi/monochrome, colour and greyscale). Its scanning process is simplified through Fujitsu's unique one-touch, menu driven operating approach.
Ultrasonic Multi-feed Paper Detection
Ultrasonic multi-feed detection sensors assure a secure paper throughput. These are the first document scanners of their class to provide ultrasonic detection capabilities to the professional office desktop. The Fujitsu ScanSnap S1500M includes a 50-sheet Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) for consecutive batch scanning. Special ScanSnap carrier sheets enable users of both models to digitise A3 formats and varying size documents such as press clipping copies and photographs. Such paper documents can be either scanned successively or in mixed document batches.
Intelligent Software Functions
In addition to automatic PDF file creation, the Fujitsu ScanSnap S1500M Scanner users can also generate searchable PDF files for seamless integration of bundled ABBYY® FineReader OCR applications. The Fujitsu ScanSnap S1500M Adobe® Acrobat® 8.0 Professional software included. Displayed thumbnail images simplify the location and viewing of ScanSnap-generated PDF and JPEG files.
