The Fujitsu fi-4340C Document Scanner utilizes high quality camera units with an optical resolution of 600 dpi, enabling extremely high quality scans ideally suited for scanning of graphics for web or DTP projects. The Fujitsu fi-4340C also offers the ability to scan at up to 40 pages per minute in simplex (76 ipm duplex) and 16 pages per minute in colour (29 ipm duplex). The ADF has a capacity of 100 sheets and can scan from A8 size up to A4. The scanner offers users the option of a JPEG compression board that can be installed
in the third party slot. An imprinter is also available that allows backside printing of up to 40 characters in a line to confirm that the document has been scanned.

The standard 100 sheet A4 document feeder also includes Fujitsu’s unique infra red double feed detection feature which stops the scanner in the instance of a double feed. The user has the ability to run the scanner through the SCSI interface or via USB 2.0.  When high volumes of uniform documents are to be scanned for archiving purposes in monochrome mode, Fujitsu’s optional Soft IPC software allows the user to select pre-determined scanning profiles to obtain optimised image results for batch scanning. This genuine Fujitsu software is now even capable of multistreaming images in monochrome and colour within a single scan.
